Cherokee County Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP)

Cherokee County is one of the fastest growing counties in the metro Atlanta area, with a population that has virtually doubled over the past 20 years. This rapid growth is placing demands on both the current and future transportation networks. The CTP update – Cherokee Moves – will provide information to help make decisions on funding, prioritizing and programming transportation projects.

The CTP will be updated by:

  • Identifying Cherokee County’s transportation vision and local transportation needs and priorities
  • Coordinating local transportation expectations with regional expectations
  • Developing a short-range action plan and long-range aspirations – projects, policies and programs
